Follow the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.W)

 Follow the Prophet Muhammad

Love is a veiled thing:
The meaning of these verses is if you love Allah, you should obey and follow me. Allah will also bless you with His Love. In other words He will grant you the reward of this obedience and will forgive your sins. Allah is forgiving and merciful. It means following Prophet (S.A.W) of Allah is the evidence of Love to Allah.
Love is a veiled thing. It is related to heart and therefore its standard and its sign was told that as much someone adopts the ways of the Prophet (S.A.W) of Allah, as much he will be true in his claim of loving Allah. No obedience means no love. When man proclaims this love through his action, Allah fixes His Greatness in man’s heart and grant him reward on this. It is compulsory that Allah will love such a person as is neat and clean from the sins and Allah will purify him from his sins. If you are not forgiven, the fault lies in your following, in your action, the mistake is yours. Allah is forgiving and merciful and one who turns away from the obedience of Prophet (S.A.W), it implies, cannot be a Muslim, he can only be an infidel as Muslim cannot turn away from the obedience. Therefore it was said: Whoever turns from, Allah does not love infidels.
No one has more magnificent than him (S.A.W):
My honourable friends! During Rabi ul Awwal, much love is shown to the Prophet (S.A.W) of Allah. There are processions, meetings, concerts of Naats, lights and flags but often we are blank in the sign which has been told of Allah’s love. One which is following Prophet (S.A.W) and acting upon his ways. The orator will deliver sermon for two hours but are blank if seen in view of action. Similarly poets and Naat reader will present the gift of Naat to the Prophet (S.A.W) of Allah but if you see his practical condition, you will find his face not showing Sunnat of Prophet (S.A.W). I saw Naat reader reading naat at the Prophet’s Garden (Roza e Rasool) in ecstasy but he is blank of face like Holy Prophet (S.A.W).
My friends! Therefore always remember one thing is the form of Prophet and another is the method of prophet. Stating form, mentioning form is also very commendable and reward giving. But if seen with the point of view of action, the form and face of Prophet (S.A.W) is something that a man has no capability to make his form and face like that beauty of form and face of Holy Prophet (S.A.W). As Hazrat Hassan bin Sabit (R.A) stated:
My eye never saw more beautiful than you (what eye could see), in fact no mother gave birth to any beautiful like you. You (S.A.W) have been born free from every defect as if Allah created you as per your own will.
The real purpose of His (S.A.W) Arrival:
My friends! That is why it is impossible if somebody wants that his eye or ear should become like Prophet’s (S.A.W) as it is beyond one’s option. Therefore Allah restricted in Holy Quran saying “Do not wish for something that we have bestowed to someone on someone.” In this way, it is surely a thing of reward to state the face and form of Holy Prophet (S.A.W) and causes peace to a believer. But whenever there is mentioning of form, a believer must have an intention that “O Allah! You Prophet (S.A.W) was so beautiful that no one can be more beautiful than him (S.A.W). Therefore the actions coming out of his personality must also be very beautiful and very precious. Grant me strength to follow those actions. In this case the mentioning of face will also persuade on action as the real purpose of Holy Prophet’s (S.A.W) arrival is that the Muslim Nation (Ummat) should follow those ways and bring those actions in their life as we cannot copy his face and form. Rather it is a wish that will restrict man from the action as action is a optional thing and things are not optional.
Holy Companions (R.A) stated His (S.A.W) practical life:
That is why you will find very less mentioning of Holy Prophet’s (S.A.W) face and form by holy companions (Sahaba) (R.A) in the books of Hadith. But the books of Hadiths are teeming with the things related to the ways and actions of Holy Prophet (S.A.W). That’s why there will be contradiction as to the date of birth of Holy Prophet (S.A.W) but with point of view of action, the holy companions (R.A) assessed each and every dimension of Prophet’s (S.A.W) life and stated it. How did he (S.A.W) sit when taking food, which hand he used, how did he put hand in plate, how many times did he breath while taking water, What prayer he read in the beginning, what prayer he read in the end, what prayer he read before sleeping, which side he used on bed, what was his way on getting up, the holy companions (R.A) have conveyed each and every method and saved it. These are the same methods of Prophet (S.A.W) which we are supposed to do, which we are ordered to follow and which we will be asked on the Day of Judgement.
All the methods of expressing happiness should bring well being for you but we should not ignore ways and methods given by the Prophet (S.A.W) lest Allah’s Prophet (S.A.W), though merciful and beneficent he is, should file prosecution against us and then we will not be able to answer. Therefore instead of celebrating the happiness of Prophet (S.A.W) through artificial ways, it is essential that we bring each and every action of Allah’s Prophet (S.A.W) in our life and enlighten ourselves. And also we should bring the Sunnat of Allah’s Prophet on our face that is keeping beard, which is an optional thing to do and make our face, form and ways like those of Prophet (S.A.W) so that Allah’s Prophet (S.A.W) may recognize us and render intercession and recommendation for us.
Allah Jalla Shanuhu give us strength to adopt the Prophet’s (S.A.W) ways and bless us with the real affection of His Prophet (S.A.W) and save us from mere display. Amen
